About the Approach
Pete uses a systems psychodynamic organisational framework which has been developed and refined by consultants and academics since the 1950s. Systems psychodynamics combines an understanding of how both structures and group dynamics effect organisational performance. Consultants using the approach see organisations as living systems which are more than the sum of their parts. The approach also pays close attention to the emotional undercurrents of teams and organisations.
This way of working incorporates the understanding that there are often no easy answers to organisational dilemmas. Consultants do not provide the answers to problems but through skilled facilitation enable people to resolve dilemmas for themselves. This approach ensures that clients do not become dependant on consultants and leads to lasting solutions rather than temporary feel-good fixes.
Pete aims to create a fun, safe, creative, and engaging space to think about organisational dilemmas. This is achieved by close collaboration with clients, helping the group to clarify how it wants to proceed.
The Vision
Pete’s vision is to offer organisational consultancy that works for clients. Keeping costs as low as possible and bringing to bear a deep understanding of how organisations work.
